On Thursday 11th October, children from Year 3 explored the magical land of Cadbury World.
The children have been discovering Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this term as part of the ‘Scrumdiddlyumptious’ theme. The trip allowed them to explore a real-life chocolate factory, where they were able to taste many creative combinations of chocolate, learn how to temper chocolate, and experienced an exhilarating 4D cinema showing.
Throughout the day, Year 3 were taught many things about the history of Cadbury World, from when it was founded 194 years ago in the 19th Century, to how its changed over the years, and the processes involved in creating chocolate.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, and Year 3 couldn’t stop talking about it:
“This is awesome!” Iqbal – 3Fire
“I loved the moving chairs in the cinema!” Zaynab – 3Earth
“I can’t believe we are finally here!” Husayn- 3Air
“When can we come back to Cadbury World?” – Muntaz- 3Water
Hopefully the trip has inspired some future chocolatiers in Year 3!
